Mangrove Nursery

Students from Ban Khun Samut School visited the mangrove nursery to help the project to replant mangroves. There is an urgent need to replant the mangroves in order to slow down the land erosion. Their old school is already under the sea. Now their new school is under threat from erosion.


The students' task was to fill plastic bag pots full of earth ready for the saplings. As the day progressed, the students became increasingly muddier.

Finally they could sit back and admire the results of their work. After a quick photo they went for a dip in the sea in order to wash themselves clean.
