These are pictures of our boat ride from the main road, where we parked the car, to Ban Khun Samut Chin. It costs about 100 baht for the boat and the ride is about ten minutes.  The boatman doesn't wait and so he gave us his mobile phone number to ring him when we were ready.

It is interesting speeding along on the canal. On each bank there were many nipa palms. Every now and then we spotted a small jetty and a wooden house. There weren't that many concrete houses. Most of the houses were built on stilts.

We saw lots of local people coming and going on their boats. This is the only way for them to get around as there are no roads here. We also saw some people fishing in the water.
